چکیده

Malleable robots are a type of reconfigurable serial robot capable adapting their topology, through the use variable stiffness malleable links, to desired tasks and workspaces by varying relative positioning between revolute joints. However, reconfiguration is nontrivial, lacking intuitive communication human robot, method efficiently aligning end effector position. In this article, we present design an interactive augmented reality (AR) alignment interface, which helps understand user’s task requirements, visualizes user requested robot’s configuration its workspace, guides in reconfiguring achieve that configuration. Through motion tracking physical two degree-of-freedom (2 DoF) can infinite number workspaces, compute accuracy system terms initial calibration overall accuracy, demonstrate viability. The results demonstrated good performance, with average repositioning 9.64 ± 2.06 mm base 10.54 4.32 environment size 2,000 × 1,200 mm.

A Wearable 3D Augmented Reality Workspace

This poster describes our work to build a wearable Aug mented Reality system that supports true stereoscopic 3D graphics. Through a pen and pad interface well known 2D user interfaces can be presented to the user, whereas the tracking of the pen allows to use direct interaction with virtual objects. The system is assembled from off-the-shelf hardware components and serves as a basic test bed f...

Concept and Implementation of a Collaborative Workspace for Augmented Reality

In this paper we present Studierstube Workspace, an application framework which supports multiple users, multiple applications and multiple 3D and 2D interaction contexts in an augmented environment. We develop a design concept for collaborative working environments in virtual reality, especially the concept of multi-user aware applications and show how our implementation fits into this concept...

Interval Analysis of Controllable Workspace for Cable Robots

Workspace analysis is one of the most important issues in the robotic parallel manipulator design. ‎However, ‎the unidirectional constraint imposed by cables causes this analysis more challenging in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators. Controllable workspace is one of the general workspace in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators due to the dependency on geometry parameter...

Steps towards an Augmented Reality workspace for Air Traffic Controllers

Increasing complexity and dynamics as well as capacity constraints in aviation are key-challenges for future air traffic control (ATC) (Manning & Stone, 2005). A technical support to the automation should ensure safety, punctuality and efficiency in air traffic. The design of appropriate human-machine-interfaces (HMI) requires knowledge of the respective jobs, environmental conditions and the c...

Automated Workspace-visualization for Serial and Parallel Robots

In this article a numerical MATLAB algorithm is presented to visualize the workspace of serial and parallel kinematics. For serial kinematics the Monte Carlo Method is used to convert the inputted DH-Parameters to a scatter plot of the reachable workspace. The article gives also a detailed insight into the processing of these scatter plot to find and visualize the boundary points of the workspa...
